Project Overview
Eagle Roofing was commissioned to perform a full-scale re-roofing of a large double garage situated in the exposed, central landscape of Outlane Golf Course. Given the location, the structure required a roofing system capable of withstanding high winds and varied weather conditions while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic.
Technical Specifications & Execution
High-Performance Underlay: The old, failing materials were stripped back and replaced with a premium breathable membrane. This allows for essential ventilation within the roof void while providing a secondary line of defense against wind-driven rain.
Structural Battening: We installed new 2×1 treated timber lath battens. This specific sizing provides a robust and level framework, ensuring the structural integrity of the slate installation.
Modern Slate Selection: The roof was finished with new artificial grey slates. These were chosen for their uniform strength and contemporary look, providing the classic appearance of natural slate with enhanced impact resistance.
Ridge & Gable Mastery: * The ridge tiles were expertly re-bedded and pointed using high-strength mortar to secure the roof’s peak.
We added new collaring to the gables, providing a watertight seal and a sharp, decorative finish to the roof edges.
The Result
A total transformation that combines modern material technology with traditional roofing craftsmanship. The garage now stands as a durable, weatherproof structure that perfectly complements its scenic surroundings at the heart of the course.
